Great patient reviews highlighting the great communication between therapist and me

Condition:

Lower limb joint pain and stiffness due to knee OA

How has rehab helped:

I now feel less stiffness and more mobile and flexible after rehab. I generally feel lighter when moving about. Although rehab has been challenging, after building up my strength and flexibility I feel more confident and lighter in my every day movements. My walking feels steadier and more balanced and stable and I experience less swaying while walking. I have less fear of falling now. When I take the bus or train I feel confident and steady even during the jerkiness during the ride. This has made more more independent in my daily life going out wherever I please.

Feedback for therapist:

My therapist made the exercises challenging enough to push me to achieve my goals and improve by physicality. I feel that the intensity and vigor of the rehab programme contributed to my improvements as stated above.

Condition:

Deconditioning post illness and hospitalization

How has rehab helped:

Therapy has helped me improve my balance and ability to walk independently without assistance. As part of my rehab plans, my therapist has prescribed playing sports and one of the interventions. By participating in the rehab sports sessions I have gained the ability to even jump and lunge. This came as a surprise as I did not think I could still be this nimble at my age.

Feedback for therapist:

My therapist was clear in his instructions and explanation of rehab plans. I also felt that the sessions were made interesting with the use of activities such as sports.

Condition:

Frozen Shoulder

How has rehab helped:

Physiotherapy has helped me regain my shoulder range and reduce the shoulder pain experience while sleeping. I used to get very bad pain when I slept on my affected shoulder. During the pandemic, due to inactivity and the lockdown I felt that my body was weaker and more easily fatigued. However now I am able to carry all my shopping even with my affected arm when I go to JB to shop.

Feedback for therapist:

To help with my shoulder, my therapist used manual mobilization skills to help increase the range and reduce pain. I felt that the handling was good.

Condition:

Chronic stroke

How has rehab helped:

Ever since my stroke, my balance has been affected.I had been undergoing rehab ever since my stroke, while in the hospital and after I was discharged. I did not expect to make further improvements but since undergoing rehab with my therapist my balance has improved and the rehab programme has given me more confidence due to balance improvements. Now I am able to walk longer and further, I even started to take walks during the night, where in the past due to poorer visibility after dark I dared not. With the gain in confidence and balance I started taking the stairs and I am happy to report that I can now the steps up the bus to sit on the second deck where it is often not too crowded and enjoy the view.

Feedback for therapist:

My therapist makes the session enjoyable and approachable. I am confident that the exercises are carried out in a safe manner and my therapist knows when to push me and where my limits are. He provides enough rest and challenges me appropriately. This encourages me to continue with my rehab journey which I enjoy.
